The Life and Times of the Simple Aquarius

I felt that I breathed an atmosphere of sorrow.

Don’t live FOR the moment. That will get you nowhere. Live IN the moment.
Living in the moment strips life down to it’s rawest state.
You will find fulfillment, but don’t let that fool, you will have regrets too.
Don’t be miserable today in hopes for a better future.
Because, I’ll let you in on a little secret;
It’s never going to be tomorrow. Once tomorrow comes, it’s not tomorrow, it’s today.
It’s this moment.
Granted, we all have responsibilities, and this isn’t an excuse to live without regard.
But just try and wrap your mind around that.
It will never be tomorrow, only today.
It makes it easier to let go. To just let yourself LIVE.
And then comes the ‘life decisions’. Now bare with me here.
I don’t think there is any such thing as a decision.
You don’t MAKE a decision. I think it’s purely past tense.
You’ve MADE a decision.
Because in the moment, you have a choice.
What’s right for you, and what’s wrong for you.
But it’s not a DECISION, because if it’s right?
It won’t take time to think about it, it will come naturally.
You’ll just choose it. And then you have decided right.
But with wrong choices, it’s not that you think you shouldn’t, it’s that you wonder if you SHOULD.
If there is ANY question, don’t do it.
Because very rarely do I ask myself, ‘should I do this?’ and wake up the next morning liking myself.
So, there is that.
You can never live life without regrets, because we don’t always listen to ourselves, and the heart can be a fickle being.
Live for RIGHT NOW, this moment. Because tomorrow will never be here.
And listen to yourself. If you have to ask yourself, don’t do it.
And there you are. Enjoy your new today.

Queen of the Foxes

“Once there was a woman who did not like who she was. She felt uneasy with herself, as if she did not fit inside her own body. When she looked in the mirror, she did not recognize herself. Was that her nose? Were those her eyes? They didn’t seem quite right, though she could not have told you what the right nose or eyes would be.”

-The Wild Girls

Just a broken girl.

That’s what you are.

Did you know that? That you’re broken?

We’re broken.

We all can’t be fixed.

No number of self-help books, or Cosmo Magazine articles can cure this.

We are like the Earth. Just like it.

By appearance, first glance, seemingly solid.

But upon closer inspection, you see it.

The cracks in the continents, the trenches…the faults.

All of this. All of these huge things, floating.

Just floating on the mantle.

That’s us. People.

We have our emotions, our sense of self, our needs, who we are, all seemingly solid…put together.

But in reality all it takes is a simple shift.

And we break.

Growing Up

Only sixteen years deep.
Only sixteen years lived.
At sixteen years you have only lost.
You have gained no wisdom yet.
In a new found body, you long to cross over to the independent anility.
And upon crossing you must pay the toll.
They don’t want money. They want innocence.
For the wise and innocent cannot coexist.

Super Nova

I want to sit on the desert sands.

To erase myself completely.

Feel the sun sink into vivd color.

To be every star that is hung in the sky.

I want to be free.
